*** RICHARDSON WINS AT WOODFIELD ***
Wendy Richardson won her second ABT Classic title by climbing the ladder at Woodfield Lanes. Wendy started her climb by defeating Frank Accardo 220-195. She then eliminated Burt Alexander 191-146 and Lloyd Laufer 197-172 to move into the championship match against top seed Kevin Kobos. Kobos stayed even for the first half of the match, but Richardson sealed the victory with a six-bagger in frames 3-8 as she rolled to the final 251-217 victory.
Champion's Profile: Wendy Richardson is 25 years old and employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She is married to Carl and they have three children: Maria, Christina, and Carl Jr. Wendy has been bowling for seven years and currently bowls league at Cherry Bowl. She has a high game of 259 and a 723 high series to her credit. Wendy was rolling a Brunswick Danger Zone, which she had drilled at Cherry Bowl. She thanked her husband for his support and Jeannie Nolte and Jan Flynn for their "nursing help" with her blistered finger during the finals. Wendy also thanked Woodfield Lanes and the ABT staff. Her winnings will be used to pay some bills. Wendy said that the shot this week was perfect for her game.
