*** MUSIAL EARNS BLACK SHIRT AT WOODFIELD ***

Keri Musial earned her "black shirt" by winning her second ABT Masters title with a 227-220 victory over Steve Mende at Woodfield Lanes. Jeff Proctor opened the stepladder finals by defeating Matt Barker 231-191 before falling to Musial 243-202. Musial then eliminated Manros Nickens 303-217 to advance to the title match against top seed Steve Mende. Mende started the championship match with the first five strikes to take a 26-pin lead, but splits in the 6th and 8th frames gave Musial the room she needed, and she took advantage to come away with the final 227-220 victory.

Champion's Profile: Keri Musial is 25 years old and single. She is employed as an Accountant at Morgan Bronze Company. Keri has been bowling since age 8 and currently bowls leagues at Arlington Heights and Hoffman Lanes. She has a high game of 297 and a 766 high series to her credit. Keri was rolling a Storm Blue Thunder drilled by Bill Monce. She said that Bill Monce and Lynn Corey have helped her to develop her game. She thanked them, along with all her friends and family for their support. She also thanked the ABT staff and Woodfield Lanes. Keri said that her winnings would be used for more equipment and future tournaments. Keri also said that the shot was very consistent all weekend and that she didn't have to move much to stay lined up.

CONGRATULATIONS KERI!
