*** CLARK CAPTURES CROWN AT SUNSET ***
Mark Clark won his third ABT Masters title by defeating Randy Hudson 251-214 at Sunset Bowl. Rick Riddle opened the stepladder finals by defeating Sheldon Mathis 218-159. Chris Roszina then defeated Riddle 180-162 before falling to Clark 258-172. Clark wasted no time in the championship match as he opened the game with the front six strikes. Randall Hudson kept things close as he struck in 5 of the first 7 frames but still found himself behind by 25 pins. Needing another strike in the 8th frame to close to within 15 pins, Hudson left a 9 pin to end his title quest as Clark stretched it out to win by the final count of 251-214.
Champion's Profile: Mark Clark is 24 years old and single. He is employed as a Global Desk Manager for Iowa Grain. Mark has been bowling for 16 years and is not bowling in any leagues right now. His high game is 300 and he has a high series of 804. Mark was rolling a Night Hawk drilled by Jose Torres at Action Pro Shop. Mark said that DJ Hayes and Bobby Bass have helped him with his game. He thanked them for their help and his mom for starting him in bowling. He also thanked Mary Williams for all her support and the ABT for running great tournaments every week. Mark dedicated his win to his late father, whose financial and moral backing was instrumental in Mark's bowling.
CONGRATULATIONS MARK!
Tournament Notes: Congratulations to Tim Culp who won $500.00 by breaking a strike pot on his way to his first perfect 300 game. Great bowling Tim!
