*** KLOSS CAPTURES FIRST CHICAGOLAND TITLE ***
Chad Kloss won his first Chicagoland Masters title in thrilling style with
a 288-225 victory over Steven Garth, Jr. at Brunswick Zone Lakehurst. Kent Nadler opened
the high-scoring stepladder finals by defeating John Lee 274-236 before falling to Kloss
280-255. Top seed Steven Garth, Jr. must have felt shell shocked as he threw a decent game
of his own but couldn't stay close as Kloss took a perfect game into the 10th frame before
finally missing to win by the final count of 288-225.
Champion's Profile: Chad Kloss is 23 years old and self-employed as
a Carpenter in home repair. He is engaged to Mary and has been bowling for 17 years. He
currently bowls leagues at Classic Lanes and various AMF centers in Milwaukee. Chad's high
game is 300 and he has an 816 series to his credit. He was rolling a Storm Lightning Flash
drilled by Chuck Ebelhardt. Chad credits Ron Scheucher, Chad Polinski, and his brother
Tony as having helped him to develop his game. Chad thanked his fiancee Mary and his
parents for all their support. He said that his winnings would be used for bills and a
trip to the ABC Nationals.
CONGRATULATIONS CHAD!
