*** TSIKRETSIS WINS AT DEER PARK ***
Bobby Tsikretsis won his first ABT Classic title with a 241-198 victory over Bruce Read at Brunswick Zone Deer Park. Tsikretsis was top seeded for the stepladder finals and waited in the wings as Read climbed the ladder by defeating Leroy Walker 188-176, Raymond Tran 221-183, and Pete Kuta 228-198. The championship match was dead even after four frames, but Tsikretsis doubled in the fifth and sixth frames to take a 10-pin lead. Read tried to stay close, hitting the pocket with every shot, but he just couldn't carry and a 4-bagger for Tsikretsis in frames 8-10 put the match away.
Champion's Profile: Bobby Tsikretsis is 47 years old and is self-employed in a coffee vending service called "Coffee Tea That's Me". He is married to Donna and they have three grown children: Tammy, Tracy, and Jackie. Bobby has been bowling for about 35 years and currently bowls league at Brunswick Zone in Algonquin. He has a high game of 263 and a 668 high series to his credit. Bobby was using a Storm Meteor Flash drilled by Jerry Marrs, who has been helping Bobby to improve his game. Bobby thanked his wife Donna, his daughter Jackie, and his mom and dad, who were visiting from Minnesota, for all their support during the finals. He also thanked Jerry Marrs and Brunswick Zone Deer Park for hosting the event. Bobby said he was really glad when the final match was over because it gave him one big case of nerves.

Tournament Notes: Congratulations to Nancy Hornung, who rolled a nice 248+34+6=288 to break a 285 Pot worth $500. Nice bowling Nancy!
