*** FEINSTEIN CAPTURES MASTERS TITLE ***
Caleb Feinstein won his first Chicagoland ABT title by defeating Patrick
Cooper 207-202 in our Easter Special at Brunswick Zone Lakehurst. Caleb qualified 5th for
the top eight finals then defeated Ken Flynn 217-202 and Bobby Wright 191-176 to advance
to the championship match. Patrick Cooper qualified 6th and he advanced with wins over
David Palojarvi, Jr. 257-218 and Thomas Pekovitch 240-211. Feinstein had a 15-pin handicap
advantage to start the title match, but Cooper used three doubles to erase that advantage
and take a 15-pin lead of his own after eight frames. Cooper then chopped the 3-6 in the
9th frame to open the door for Feinstein, who made the most of his opportunity by doubling
in the 9th and 10th to come from behind for the 207-202 victory.
Champion's Profile: Caleb Feinstein is 26 years old and single. He
is employed as a farmer and has been bowling for 15 years. Caleb currently bowls in the
Milwaukee ABT Travel League. His high game is 300 and he has a 758 high series to his
credit. Caleb was rolling a Columbia Mass Chaos drilled by Joe Cerar. He thanked Stephen
Lewis for giving him confidence this week. He also thanked Brunswick Zone Lakehurst for
hosting the event and for a great shot. Caleb said his winnings would be used for a trip
to the Hoinke as well as a trip to Ukraine to go looking for a wife.
CONGRATULATIONS CALEB!
Tournament Notes: Congratulations to David L. Miller and Dave
Backstrom who each won $100 by breaking 295 Pots.
Elias Gumabong was this week's winner in our Storm Ball Raffle.
BTD: In the Beat the Director match, Brian Kaddatz defeated ABT
Director Ed Mousseau 255-246 to win $487. Rob Dinger won the $25 Spectator Bonus Award.
