*** KOSZOLA CLIMBS LADDER AT BROADVIEW ***
Steve Koszola worked his way past four opponents to claim his
third ABT Masters title at Broadview Bowl. Steve qualified fourth for the
stepladder finals and started his climb by defeating Tony Caraker 216-202. He
then eliminated Rick Hara 237-210 and Larry Sykes 250-207 to earn his shot at
top seed Kermit Crowe. The championship match was close for the first half of
the game, but a four-bagger for Koszola in frames 4-7 allowed him to take
control of the match and win going away by the final score of 230-197.
Champion's Profile: Steve Koszola is 37 years old and
married to Jody (more affectionately known as "Socks"). They have
three children: Krystle, Steven, and Britney, ages 16, 13, and 10. Steve has
been bowling for 28 years and bowls league at Broadview Bowl. He has a high game
of 300 and a 794 high series to his credit. Steve was rolling a Columbia Cuda C

his game. He thanked his wife "Socks" and the rest of his family for
all their support. He also thanked Ron Lauterbach, Rudy Gehrke, and the entire
staff oat Broadview Bowl for hosting the tournament. Steve said that his
