***WACH WINS FIRST AT FAIRHAVEN***

Joe Wach won his first ABT Classic title by defeating Gabriel Rodriguez 218-205 at Fairhaven Lanes. Lenard Lewis opened the stepladder finals by defeating Charito Urban 188-173. Lewis then eliminated Brian Leary 192-180 before falling to Joe Wach 209-154. In the title match, top seed Gabe Rodriguez used a turkey in frames 2-4 to take a slim 4-pin lead but Wach came right back with a turkey of his own in frames 4-6 to reclaim the lead by 8 pins at the end of six frames. Wach doubled in the 8th and 9th frames to put the match away, going on to win by the final score of 218-205.

Champion's Profile: Joe Wach is a 21-year-old student at University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. He has been bowling for 13 years and currently bowls at the College Club at Whitewater. Joe has a high game of 300 and a 733 high series to his credit. He was using a Track Elite drilled by Rick Rechter. Joe said that the guys on his team at college have helped him to improve his game. Joe thanked Chris Colosimo for getting him to join the ABT. He also thanked the ABT and Fairhaven Lanes for having the tournament and his parents for all their support. Joe said his winnings would be used to pay bills.

CONGRATULATIONS JOE!

Tournament Notes: Congratulations to Joe Wach and Gabriel Rodriguez, who have both graduated from the Classic Division and will now test their skills with the Masters. Nice bowling guys!
