***ABALOS EARNS BLACK SHIRT AT STARDUST***

Eddie Abalos earned his "black shirt" by winning his second ABT Classic title in our tournament held at Starddust Bowl.

John Zola opened the stepladder finals by defeating Bruce Chron 192-187 and Rick Engelhardt 206-190. Jennifer Brown then ousted Zola 182-163 to advance to the championship match against top seed Eddie Abalos. Splits and a couple of missed spare opportunities were Jennifer's undoing as Eddie was able to cruise to a relatively easy 198-150 victory to claim his second title.

Champion's Profile: Eddie Abalos is 46 years old and retired from the U.S. Navy. He is married to Anita and they have 3 children: Eddie Jr., April Ann, and Aaron. Eddie has been bowling for 15 years and is not bowling in a league this year. He has a high game of 258 and a 630 high series to his credit. Eddie was using a Quantum drilled by Brad Snell at Hoffman Estates Lanes. He thanked his family for their support, the ABT for running the tournament, and Stardust Bowl for hosting the event. Eddie added that his winnings would be used for his wife's class reunion and his kids.

CONGRATULATIONS EDDIE!
