***cooke captures sunset sweeper***

Lee Cooke fired a 758 handicap series in our sweeper at Sunset Bowl to capture his first ABT Masters title. Lee used games of 247, 236, and 275 to easily outdistance Ken Knaak and Jose Lopez, Jr., who tied for second place at 721.

Champion's Profile: George (Lee) Cooke is 59 years old and employed as a Senior Tech Representative for Imagetec LP. He is married to Judy and they have two adult daughters, Sherry and Stacey. Lee has been bowling for about 40 years and currently bowls league at Sunset, Bertrand's and Lakehurst. His high game is 300 and he has a high series of 774. Lee was using a Columbia Messenger drilled by G. W. Gregg. He thanked his wife for putting up with his bowling absence, and the ABT and Sunset Bowl for holding the tournament. Lee said that his winnings would pay off his gas bill and make for a very bright Christmas. He also said that winning this week capped off a very special year for him.

CONGRATULATIONS lee!
