Wayne Washington won his third ABT Classic title by defeating Ramon Sykes 207-201 at AMF Bolingbrook Lanes.

John Orr opened the stepladder finals by defeating Jeff Rakowski 235-169. Orr then eliminated David Lewis 230-221 before falling to Wayne Washington 198-168. The championship match was a hard fought affair that went down to the final frame. Needing a mark to win, Washington covered the six pin then counted nine to defeat top seed Ramon Sykes 207-201.

Champion's Profile: Wayne Washington is 40 years old and employed as a truck driver. He is married to Cynthia and they have a 16-year-old son, Wayne Jr. Wayne has been bowling for eight years and currently bowls league at Austin Bowl. He has a high game of 279 and a 759 high series to his credit. Wayne was rolling a 3D Offset Hammer drilled by Lee at Andy's Pro Shop. Wayne said that practice has been the key to developing his game. He thanked his wife Cynthia for her support and the ABT for providing the tournaments. His winnings will be used to pay bills. Wayne said he loved the shot this week and asked if we could have it again next week!
