Manno qualified sixth for the top eight finals, then advanced by defeating James White 254-236 and Mike Parker 204-197. Trentadue was the number five qualifier and he advanced with victories over Bruno Zecchin 211-190 and Frank Way 201-199. The championship match was close for the first six frames but Manno uncorked a four-bagger in frames seven through ten to pull away to the final 225-178 victory.
Champion's Profile: Rich Manno is 58 years old and retired. He is married to Daniela and they have a grown son, Richard. Rich got back into bowling this year after being out since 1967. Rich bowled league this year at AMF Rolling Meadows. He has a high game of 255 and a 620 high series to his credit. Rich was rolling a Reactive Scout drilled by Jeff Daggett at Strike Zone Pro Shop, inside AMF Rolling Meadows. Rich said his uncle, Ernie Manno, has helped him to work on his game.
