Scott Stolz, a multiple titleholder in our Milwaukee branch, finally won his first Chicagoland Masters title.
Joe Piontowski opened the stepladder finals by defeating Dwight Bergner 223-209. Piontowski then eliminated John Sypniewski 199-165 before falling to Scott Stolz 257-148. Top seed Tom Rodriguez took the early lead in the championship match and held it for the first six frames. Stolz then caught fire, finishing with a six-bagger to overtake Rodriguez and win by the final score of 255-237.
Champion's Profile: Scott Stolz is 27 years old and employed as a cook at Ned's Pizza. He is engaged to be married to Lisa Fossier. Scott has been bowling for 16 years and bowls leagues at Classic Lanes in Greenfield, Wisconsin and AMF South Park in South Milwaukee.
