*** hall wins first at lakehurst ***

Donald Hall won his first ABT Classic title by defeating Kristi Haas 192-177 at Brunswick Zone Lakehurst.

Robert Stolarsky opened the stepladder finals by defeating Michael Eichhorst 224-172. He then ousted Randy Oya 226-201 before falling to Kristi Haas 229-222. In the title match Kristi held a 16-pin lead after six frames but opened in the seventh, eighth, and ninth frames. Top seed Donald Hall took advantage of his opportunity, recording spares in all three frames to erase the 16-pin deficit and go on to win by the final score of 192-177.

Champion's Profile: Don Hall is a 45-year-old stay-at-home dad with three children: Jeremy, Benjamin, and Tiffany. He has been bowling for ten years and currently bowls league at Sunset Bowl. Don has a high game of 299 and a 685 high series to his credit. He was using an Ebonite Savage (Leroy Walker's ball) drilled by GW Gregg. Don credits coaching from Eugene Payne, Sr. as having helped him with his game. He thanked Brunswick Lakehurst for hosting the tournament and the ABT members for their help and encouragement. Don said his winnings would be used for a new bag and a trip to the boat. He also said he was looking forward to a second title in the future.

CONGRATULATIONS don!

Tournament Notes: Congratulations to Randy Oya who won $500 by breaking a 285 Pot. Nice bowling Randy!
