Donald Hall won his second ABT Classic title by defeating Ernest Abbott, Sr. 195-169 at Brunswick Zone Lakehurst. In match one of the stepladder finals, John Claussen 210 defeated Michael Zadler 205 and Bobby Whitaker 158. In match two, Tony Sokolowski 212 defeated John Claussen 203 and Herman Roebke 186. In match three, Ernest Abbott, Sr. 206 defeated Kevin Klaus 193 and Tony Sokolowski 175 to advance to the championship match against top seed Donald Hall. The title match was close for the first six frames, but open frames by Ernest in the seventh and eighth allowed Donald to pull away to the final 195-169 victory. Champion's Profile: Donald Hall is 45 years old and currently single. He has three children: Jeremy, Benjamin, and Tiffany, ages 18, 20, and 22. Donald has been bowling for ten years and bowls leagues at Lakehurst and Sunset Bowl. He has a high game of 299 to his credit to go along with a 730 high series. Donald was using a Brunswick Demolition Zone drilled by GW Gregg that he borrowed from Leroy Walker. Donald and Leroy have the same hand size, so they share equipment. Donald thanked the ABT and Lakehurst for having the tournament and Leroy Walker for use of the ball.
