Robert Torres earned his "black shirt" by
winning his second ABT Masters title with a 204-194 victory over Mike
Rimkavich at Lakewood Bowl. John Scaletta kicked off the stepladder finals
by defeating John Pitner 204-182. Tim Culp then defeated Scaletta 200-181
before falling to Robert Torres 203-191. Next up was Mike Rimkavich, who
was top seeded after a blistering 759 handicap series in the semis. The
lead changed hands several times in the title match but at the end it was
Torres with just enough to hold off Rimkavich by the final score of
204-194.
