Catrice Moton won her first ABT Classic title by defeating Sam Getta 219-174 at Stardust Bowl. Sam Getta opened the stepladder finals by defeating Lio Giannotti 248-195. Sam then eliminated Don Anselmo 206-189 and Linda Scaletta 214-160 to advance to the championship match against top seed Catrice Moton. Catrice started the championship match with a double and never looked back as a tiring Sam Getta couldn't keep pace, falling by a final score of 219-174. Champion's Profile: Catrice Moton is 37 years old and engaged to be married to Verdell Love. She has a 20-year-old son named Jermaine and is employed as a lab technician for Abbott Labs. Catrice has been bowling for six years and currently bowls leagues at Rynish and Waveland Bowl. She has a high game of 235 and a 654 high series to her credit. Catrice was rolling a Storm Trauma drilled by Jim Erickson at Sunset Lanes. She thanked God, her fiancée, and her family and friends for their support. Her winnings will be used for the wedding.
