Brian Spiller won his third ABT Masters
title by defeating John Wilson 202-198 at Stardust Bowl.
Jack Keith opened the stepladder finals by
defeating Lynn Koenen 212-200. Jack then ousted Dave Fitzpatrick 290-206
before falling to Brian Spiller 199-158. The title match was close
throughout and wasn't decided until the tenth frame. Brian finished first
and left John needing a double to pull out the match. John pulled his
first shot high, leaving a 6-10, and the match was over as Brian hung on
for the 202-198 victory.
