Jon Sanchez won his first ABT Classic title by defeating Vincent Santucci 237-226 at Suburbanite Bowl.

Rich Ramczyk opened the stepladder finals by defeating Vic Valela 233-181. Rich then eliminated Emil Krejcu 181-164 before falling to Vincent Santucci 186-176. Vincent doubled to start the title match but top seed Jon Sanchez answered with a double of his own in the second and third frames to go ahead by three pins. Vincent doubled again in frames five and six to retake the lead, but Jon came back again with a double in the seventh and eighth to retake the lead for good as he went on to win by the final score of 237-226.

Champion's Profile: Jon Sanchez is 26 years old and single. He is employed as an account representative for VTV Video Television. Jon has been bowling for nine years and has a high game of 271 to go along with a 714 high series. He was using a Columbia Surge drilled by Rich Moores at Players Corner Pro Shop in Aurora. Jon said that his dad, Matt, has helped him to develop his game. Jon thanked his dad and the Sanchez, Estes, and Fournier families for all their support. He also thanked Rich and Pat Moores, the ABT staff, and Suburbanite Bowl for hosting the tournament. Jon said that he didn't have any immediate plans for his winnings.
