Vincent Santucci won this third ABT Classic title by defeating John Kuntz 217-162 at Brunswick Zone Thunderbird. Vincent was top seeded for the stepladder finals after rolling a 663 handicap series in the semis. Robert J. Winke opened the stepladder finals by defeating Gene Reynolds 194-179. He then eliminated Fred Russell 191-187 before falling to John Kuntz 205-180. John had been bowling well all weekend but tired in the title match as Vincent took control early and cruised to the final 217-162 victory. Champion's Profile: Vincent Santucci is 64 years old and employed as a machine adjuster. He is married to Paula and they have six children, eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Vincent has been bowling for 24 years and currently bowls league at Waveland Bowl. He has a high game of 279 and a 710 high series to his credit. Vincent was using a Columbia Rock On drilled by Joe Bacagaluppi at Back to Basics Pro Shop. He thanked God for his abilities and his wife Paula for allowing him to bowl and have fun. Vincent also thanked the ABT staff and Thunderbird Lanes for having the event. Vincent said that his winnings would go right back into bowling and that he really appreciates the ABT staff and loves them all. congratulations Vincent!
