Rick Hara won his seventh ABT Masters title
with a hard fought 201-192 victory over Michael Thomka at Brunswick Zone
Thunderbird.
Randy Aberle opened the stepladder finals by
defeating Dan Matasek 202-173. Rick Slusin then ousted Aberle 212-174
before falling to Rick Hara 221-211. Waiting for Hara in the title match
was top seed Michael Thomka who elected to have Rick finish first. The
championship match was tight from start to finish and all came down to the
final frame. Rick, finishing first, threw a double in the tenth to close
Michael out and win by the final score of 201-192.
