Dwight Bergner won his first ABT Masters
title by defeating Rick Riddle 291-205 at Espo's Entertainment Center.
Dwight qualified third for the match play finals and advanced by defeating
Tony Jovanovich 238-216 and Larry Lynd 227-222. Rick Riddle was the top
qualifier and he advanced with victories over Bobby Bass 213-186 and Tim
Culp 286-266. The championship match was decided quickly as Bergner
started with the front seven strikes and never gave Riddle a chance to
recover.
