Tom LeBaron won his first ABT Classic title
by defeating Charles Ravenscraft 192-168 at Sunset Bowl.
Verdell Love started the stepladder finals
by defeating Miguel Diaz 218-168. Herman Roebke then eliminated Verdell
233-163. Charles Ravenscraft strung a four-bagger in the last two frames
of match three to come from behind to defeat Herman Roebke 180-176 and
advance to the title match against top seed Tom LeBaron. The championship
match went back and forth but a double for Tom in the ninth and tenth
frames proved to be the difference as he won by the final score of
190-168.
