Rob Taylor won his second ABT Masters title by defeating John Scaletta 195-193 at Brunswick Zone Lakehurst. Steve Lunsford opened the stepladder finals by defeating Steve Foote 221-217. He then eliminated Bob Moore 232-151 before falling to Rob Taylor 220-203. In the title match Rob Taylor used a double in the fourth and fifth frames to take a 13-pin lead over top seed John Scaletta. A rail for Taylor in frame six allowed Scaletta to cut the gap down to two pins, but that was as close as he could get as Taylor hung on for the final 195-193 victory. Champion's Profile: Rob Taylor is 37 years old and employed as a machine operator. He has been bowling for 15 years and bowls league at Brunswick Zone Arena. His high game is 300 and he has a 772 high series to his credit. Rob was rolling an Ebonite Vortex drilled by Ken Krug at Ken's Pro Shop. Rob credits Ken Krug as having helped him to improve his game. He thanked Ken for his help, Shorty Torres, and Steve and Rose Morrissey for their support, the ABT and Lakehurst for having the tournament, and Storm Bowling Products for sponsoring the ABT.
