*** Henry wins debut***
|
Rudolph Henry make his first ABT event a
memorable one as he climbed the ladder from fourth to first at Bowling &
Beyond in Arlington Heights. Rudy started his climb by defeating Mike
Martenson, Jr. 249-209. Next up was old friend Frank Kirchman who fell
230-204. In match three Rudy defeated Jose Camacho 243-184 to earn his
shot at top seed Adrian Weidenfeller. Rudy had a 13-pin handicap advantage
to start the match but by the fifth frame Adrian had cut the lead down to
three pins. Adrian left a pocket 7-10 in the sixth frame and Rudy rebuilt
his lead to 15. Both bowlers doubled in frames seven and eight, but Rudy
missed a spare in the ninth, allowing Adrian to close to within two
entering the tenth. Adrian filled 19 in the tenth frame, forcing Rudy to
mark. Rudy left the 3-10 baby split in the tenth but made it and filled
nine to win the match by the final score of 216-214.
