*** sechrist wins at fair haven***

Brian Sechrist won his first ABT Classic title by defeating Amanda Culp 193-184 at Fairhaven Lanes.

George Ristoff opened the stepladder finals by defeating Josh Rudd 196-176. Karl Grosse then defeated Ristoff 210-183 before falling to Brian Sechrist 225-173. In the championship match top seed Amanda Culp struggled through the first five frames, allowing Brian to build a 36-pin lead. Open frames by Brain in the sixth and seventh allowed Amanda to close to within 15 but Brian doubled in the eighth and ninth to go back up by 21 entering the final frame. Brian left a baby split in the tenth and missed both pins, leaving Amanda with a sliver of hope. Needing a turkey to win by one pin, Amanda nailed the first strike by her second shot was wide and Brian had his first title 193-184.

Champion's Profile: Brian Sechrist is 18 years old and single. He is employed at Espo's Entertainment Center and has only been bowling for two years. Brian has a high game of 243 and a 598 high series to his credit. He was using a Reactive Scout and a Brunswick Neptune drilled by Joe Bacagaluppi at Back to Basics Pro Shop. Brian said that Mike Martenson Jr. and Sr., Joe Bacagaluppi, and his junior league coaches have all helped him to improve his game. He thanked his parents and friends for their support along with the ABT and Fairhaven Lanes for having the tournament. Brian said his winnings would go into a college savings fund.

congratulations brian!
