Rick Hara claimed his 8th ABT Masters title with a 268-221 victory over Joe Dicola at Suburbanite Bowl. Steve Morrissey opened the stepladder finals by defeating Jack Keith 206-196. Jim Clancy then eliminated Morrissey 230-179 before falling to Joe Dicola 208-184. In the title match Dicola doubled in frames three and four to take a 16-pin lead over top seed Rick Hara but Rick then rattled off eight in a row to pull away to the final 268-221 victory. Champion's Profile: Rick Hara is 42 years old and single. He is employed as a mortgage planner for 1st Home Mortgage. Rick has been bowling since juniors and currently bowls leagues at Diversey River Bowl. His high game is 300 and he has a high series of 810 to his credit. Rick was using a Storm X-Factor Deuce and a Columbia ICON drilled by Jose Torres at Action Pro Shop. He thanked the ABT and Suburbanite Bowl for having the tournament. Rick said his winnings would be used for more tournaments and that he loved bowling the ABT. congratulations Rick!
