*** evans captures masters title ***

Greg Evans won his first ABT Masters title by defeating Ed Seliga 223-214 at Espo's Entertainment Center. Greg qualified eighth for the top eight match play finals then advanced by defeating Jim Kedroski 275-268 and Jason Jansen 227-216. Ed Seliga qualified sixth and earned his berth in the title match with victories over Charles Eberhardt 236-219 and Anthony Grochowalski 245-217. Selgia had a 33-pin lead after seven frames of the championship match but left a rail in the ninth to open the door. Evans seized the opportunity and struck out from the eighth frame forcing Seliga to double in the tenth to force a roll-off. Seliga struck on his first shot but a stubborn 10-pin stood on his second shot leaving Evans the winner by the final score of 223-214.
