Greg Evans won his first ABT Masters title
by defeating Ed Seliga 223-214 at Espo's Entertainment Center. Greg
qualified eighth for the top eight match play finals then advanced by
defeating Jim Kedroski 275-268 and Jason Jansen 227-216. Ed Seliga
qualified sixth and earned his berth in the title match with victories
over Charles Eberhardt 236-219 and Anthony Grochowalski 245-217. Selgia
had a 33-pin lead after seven frames of the championship match but left a
rail in the ninth to open the door. Evans seized the opportunity and
struck out from the eighth frame forcing Seliga to double in the tenth to
force a roll-off. Seliga struck on his first shot but a stubborn 10-pin
stood on his second shot leaving Evans the winner by the final score of
223-214.
Champion's Profile: Greg Evans is 25 years old and owns the Reactions

Warrior that he drilled himself. He credits Mike Truitt and his dad, Mark
Evans, as having helped him with his game. Greg thanked his parents for
their support and said that he had no special plans for his winnings.
