*** kedroski captures title at habetler ***

Jim Kedroski won his second ABT Masters title by defeating Ed Seliga 207-197 at Habetler Bowl.

In match one of the stepladder finals John S. Scaletta defeated Robert Hjelm 242-187. In match two Mike Meifert defeated Scaletta 246-234. In match three Ed Seliga eliminated Meifert 228-205 to earn his spot at top seed Jim Kedroski. In the title match Kedroski strung a four-bagger in frames three through six to open up a 34-pin lead. Kedroski was unable to convert the 3-10 in frame seven and Seliga took advantage with a turkey to cut the lead to 13 pins. Kedroski doubled in the eighth and ninth but a six count on his first ball in the tenth left the door open for Seliga as he entered the final frame. Needing a strike in the tenth Seliga found the pocket but was a little high leaving a four pin and Kedroski was able to breathe a sigh of relief as he hung on for the 207-197 victory.

Champion's Profile: Jim Kedroski is 38 years old and owns Rippers Pro Shop in River Grove. He is engaged to Michelle and has a seven-year-old son named Shayne. Jim has been bowling since age six and currently bowls at Brunswick Zone in River Grove. His high game is 300 and he has a high series of 838 to his credit. Jim was using a Hammer Sling Blade that he drilled himself. Jim said that some coaching tips from Brad Snell have helped his game. He thanked Michelle and Pam Holzmeister for their support. He also thanked the ABT and Habetler Bowl for having the tournament. He said his winnings would be used for a weekend vacation and a haircut (one hair maybe). Jim also said that he loves the ABT and the way that it is run.

congratulations jim!

Tournament Notes: Congratulations to Matt Barker who rolled a 298+4=302 game to break a 295 Pot worth $500. Nice bowling Matt!
