Gilbert Rimsnider won his first ABT Classic title by defeating Joe Johnson 212-209 at Strike 'N Spare Lanes. In match one of the stepladder finals David Lewis defeated Chuck Spoonmore 266-168. In match two Joe Johnson defeated David Lewis 213-196. In match three Joe Johnson defeated Susan Sawyer 223-215. In the title match Joe Johnson turkeyed in frames 2-4 to open up a 38-pin lead over top seed Gilbert Rimsnider. Rimsnider came back with a turkey of his own in frames 6-8 to cut the lead down to three. Johnson opened in the eighth frame and Rimsnider marked to take the lead by pins. Spares by Johnson in the 9th and 10th weren't enough as Rimsnider hung on to win by the final score of 212-209. Champion's Profile: Gilbert Rimsnider is 28 years old and employed as a painter. He is married to Christina and they have a four-year-old son they call Gibby. Gilbert has been bowling for three years and currently bowls at Centennial Lanes. He has a 262 high game and a 689 high series to his credit. Gilbert was using an Ebonite Shooter drilled at Orland Bowl. He thanked his family for all their support and his wife for allowing him to bowl. Gilbert said his winnings would be used to try to get tickets for the Cubs play-offs. congratulations Gilbert!
