*** Crowe climbs the ladder at Lakewood ***
|
Kermit Crowe worked his way past four
opponents at Lakewood Bowl to claim his second ABT Masters title. Kermit
started his run by defeating John Wilson 220-212. Next up was Mark
Szmergalski who fell 206-193. In match three Kermit eliminated Doug
Glassman 242-204 to earn his shot at top seed Pat Cornell. In the title
match Pat Cornell pounded the pocket consistently but left six 7-pins, one
of which he missed, and Kermit was able to do just enough to come away
with the 208-183 victory.
