Mike Bell worked his way past four opponents at Rynish Bowling Center to win his first ABT Masters title. Mike started his run by defeating Steve Foote 204-193. Next up was Don Czyznik who fell 227-219. In match three Mike defeated Tony Arrate 282-239 to advance to the title match against top seed Pat Cornell. Mike struck in six of the first seven frames in the championship match to open a 33-pin lead. Pat finished strong but it wasn't enough as Mike hung on for the 248-228 victory.

Champion's Profile: Mike Bell is 37 years old and single. He is employed as a network administrator and has been bowling since juniors. He currently bowls league at Fair Haven Lanes and has a high game of 300 to go along with an 814 high series. Mike was using a Hammer Vicious drilled by Paul Marcinek at Specialized Pro Shop in Roselle. Mike said that John Scaletta has spent many hours in bowling centers helping Mike to work on his game. He thanked John for all his help and said that his winnings would be used for some new equipment.
