Beth Tollefson won her second ABT Classic title by defeating Mark Kisala 208-190 in our Thanksgiving Special at AMF Rolling Meadows. Beth rolled her best game and series ever in our semifinals to qualify first for the top 12 finals, earning her a bye in the first two rounds of match play. In round three she defeated John Kolodziej 213-201 to advance to the championship match. Mark Kisala qualified 8th and advanced by defeating Dawn Trumblay 212-195, Bob Sevcik 252-195, and Anthony Willis 186-170. Beth had a 13-pin handicap advantage to start the title match but she struggled in the first half with opens in four of the first five frames. Mark also had a couple of open frames early but a double in the fifth and sixth frames put him ahead by 13 pins. Beth came back with a double in the sixth and seventh to cut the lead down to two, then turkeyed in the ninth and tenth to retake the lead and win by the final score of 208-190. Champion's Profile: Beth Tollefson is 33 years old and employed as a service advisor for Dodge Land Wisconsin. She has a 5-year-old son named Anthony and has been bowling for about a year and a half. Beth has a high game of 247 and a 583 high series to her credit. She was rolling a Columbia Scout drilled by the Bowlers Pro Shop in Milwaukee. Beth thanked Mike Switlick for his support and all of the ABT members and staff for their support as well.
