Keith Garrett won his second ABT Masters
title by defeating Jim Kedroski 231-213 at Mundelein Lanes. Keith put
together two game totals of 455, 481, and 524 to get past three
elimination rounds and earn his spot in the championship match. Jim
advanced with scores of 464, 418, and 511. Keith left a rail to start the
championship match but came right back with a four-bagger to take a 23-pin
lead after five frames. Jim cut into the lead a little in the next few
frames but Keith finished with another four-bagger to win by the final
score of 231-213.
Champion's Profile: Keith Garrett is 39 years old and employed as a
driver/laborer. He has been bowling for 35 years and has a high game of
300 and an 855 high series to his credit. Keith was using a Hammer Viscous
drilled by Joe Piagentini at Lakes Bowl. Keith is a self-taught bowler who
developed his game over the years with lots of practice. He thanked Bud
Heller for all his support. Keith said his winnings would be used to pay
bills.

Congratulations to Keith Garrett, Jim Kedroski, and Rick Hara who earned
their "Masters Degrees" with their performances this week and have been
graduated from the Amateur Bowlers Tour. We congratulate them on their
fine bowling and wish them the best in future bowling endeavors.
Our thanks to Mundelein Lanes who once again provided us with a fabulous
effort in hosting this event on extremely short notice. If you haven't
