Peppa Hall won her first ABT Classic title
by defeating Flor Serain 209-169 in our January Thaw event at Espo's.
Peppa qualified fifth for the top 12 finals
and advanced by defeating Frank Accardo 243-226, Jerry Goldman 285-199,
and Rich Hozian Jr. 215-205. Flor Serain qualified 12th and advanced with
victories over Kevin Kinder 221-184, John Dzierzynski 225-193, and Stephen
Stewart 177-158. In the title match Flor struggled for eight frames before
finally righting himself to close with a turkey but it was too little, too
late as Peppa rolled to an easy 209-169 victory to claim her first title.
