*** Utter wins at Rolling Meadows ***
|
William Utter won his first ABT Masters
title by defeating John Sypniewski 210-187 at AMF Rolling Meadows. William
qualified third for the match play finals and advanced with victories over
Chuck Peters 190-186 and Tony Kaskadden 229-191. John was the top
qualifier and he advanced by defeating Dan Matasek 219-184 and Jack
Lippert 198-182. The championship match went back and forth, but a
four-bagger for Utter in frames 6-9 helped him pull away to the final
210-187 victory.
Champion's
Profile: William Utter is 37 years old and employed as a truck driver
for Brax Air. He is married to Meg and they have a five-month-old boy they
call Liam. William has been bowling since age 11 and currently bowls
leagues at Schwoegler Park Town and Country Lanes and Union South Lanes.
His high game is 279 and he has a 769 high series to his credit. William
