Mike Rimkavich won his first ABT title by
defeating Dan Glowacki 201-125 at Sunset Bowl.
In match one of the stepladder finals, Devin
Knabenbauer 216 defeated Rudy Seidl 187 and Harley Aumann 179. In match
two Devin Knabenbauer defeated Mike Martenson Sr. 236 and Frank Fisher
221. In match three Mike Rimkavich defeated Devin Knabenbauer 228-182 to
advance to the title match against top seed Dan Glowacki. After rolling a
perfect game in the semis Dan Glowacki just couldn't find anything on the
championship pair and Mike Rimkavich was an easy winner 201-125.
Champion's
Profile: Mike Rimkavich is 40 years old and employed as a sheet metal
fabricator for United Machine and Tool. He has two children, Heather and
Robert, ages 14 and 10. Mike has been bowling for 30 years and currently
bowls leagues at AMF Bolingbrook and Willowbrook Lanes. His high game is
300 and his high series is 818. Mike was using a Lane 1 Golden Nugget
drilled by Ed Seliga. Mike said that teammates and friends have helped him
with his game. He thanked Sunset Bowl for hosting the tournament and the
ABT staff for all their hard work running the events each week. Mike said
his winnings would be used for the ABC Nationals in Reno.

Tournament Notes:
Congratulations to Steve Lunsford who rolled a nice 277+15+3=295 game to
break a 295 Pot worth $500. Nice bowling Steve!
