Tournament Notes: Due to a power
outage we were unable to complete the Sunday portion of our event at
Arlington Lanes. ABT rule XXIII, section a states: "Premature termination
of a tournament brought about by war, national emergency or emergency
causes relating thereto or therefrom, fire, flood, fog, hurricane,
tornado, snow, earthquake, natural disaster or any other reason beyond the
control of the Amateur Bowlers Tour (ABT) shall cause, to the extent
required thereby, all advertised prizes, guaranteed or otherwise, to be
prorated in accordance with the number of entrants who have bowled in the
event to the time of such termination."
As a result, the qualifying standings from
Friday and Saturday automatically become the final results for this event.
Congratulations to this week's winners.
I mistakenly told bowlers that the Bonus
Bucks would also be paid out to the first and second place finishers. As
you know the Bonus Bucks is our replacement for the Progressive Pot. ABT
rule XVI section n states: "Premature termination of a tournament before
the tournament winner has been determined etc., shall cause to the extent
required thereby to have all Progressive Pot (Bonus Bucks) income for that
tournament refunded to each entrant that paid into it." You may collect
your refund at your next event. I apologize for my mistake and any
inconvenience it may have caused.
This week's raffle winner was Sean Small.
