Joe Spoonmore went from fourth to first to
earn his second ABT title at AMF Bolingbrook Lanes.
Joe started his climb by defeating John F.
Scaletta 244-181. Next up was Dan Glowacki who fell 218-181. In match
three Joe eliminated Stephen Lewis 205-190 to advance to the title match
against top seed Mike Domer. Joe cruised in the final match, as Mike was
never able to get lined up making Joe the easy winner by the final score
of 225-147.
Champion's
Profile: Joe Spoonmore is 23 years old and employed as a warehouse
worker for Menards. He has been bowling for 17 years and bowls league at
Idle Hour Lanes in Sandwich. Joe's high game is 300 and he has an 813 high
series to his credit. Joe was using a Storm Triple X Factor that he had
drilled at the Storm booth at the Reno ABC Nationals. Joe credits Larry
Lynd and his mom and dad as having helped him with his game. He thanked
Larry Lynd, his mom and dad, and his sister Becky for all their support.
He also thanked the ABT and AMF Bolingbrook for holding the tournament.
Joe said he would save his winnings to use for future ABT events.
