*** Grauer climbs the ladder at stardust ***

Harry Grauer defeated four opponents in our stepladder finals at Stardust Bowl to claim his third ABT title and first since 1998. Harry started his climb by defeating Rich Hozian Jr. 213-187. He then eliminated Jim Brandt 203-169 and Nick Oswald 193-169 to earn his shot at top seed Marc Cesarec. In the title match Marc Cesarec's spare shooting ability totally deserted him allowing Harry to cruise to the easy 222-143 victory.

Champion's Profile: Harry Grauer is 75 years young and still works part time running his own Dura Clean franchise. He is married to Ruby and they have three adult children: George, Albert, and Sondra. Harry started bowling some 60 years ago and currently bowls in the Elgin Travel League. He has a high game of 296 and a 668 high series to his credit. Harry was using a Columbia White Dot that he had drilled at Bowling Green in West Chicago. He credits Frank Kirchman as having helped him with his game over the years. Harry thanked God for the good health and ability that allow him to continue competing at his age. He also thanked everyone involved in operating and hosting the tournament along with the spectators who cheered him on during the finals. Harry had no immediate plans for his winnings other than to "spend it".

congratulations Harry!
