Dennis Kenny won his third ABT title by defeating Roger Partynski 234-200 at Stardust Bowl. Mike Martenson Sr. opened the stepladder finals by defeating Griffin Taylor 232-204. Lynn Koenen then eliminated Mike Martenson Sr. 244-185 before falling to Dennis Kenny 231-220. The championship match saw top seed Roger Partynski clinging to a pin lead after five frames but Dennis Kenny strung a five-bagger in frames five through nine to take control of the match winning by the final score of 234-200. Champion's Profile: Dennis Kenny is 48 years old and employed as a service writer for Victor Ford. He is married to Kim and they have two sons, Jake and Luke. Dennis has been bowling for 30 years and bowls league at 3D Bowl. He has a high game of 300 and a high series of 802 to his credit. Dennis was using a Columbia Riccochet drilled by Ron Nelson. He thanked Neil Hulvey, his brother Jim, his wife and his sons for all their support. He also thanked the ABT and Stardust for having the tournament and all the spectators who stayed to watch the finals.
