*** Kolodziej Captures Third Title ***
|
John Kolodziej won his third ABT title by
defeating Jeff Rakowski 228-203 in our Fathers Day event at Hawthorn
Lanes. John qualified fifth for the match play finals then advanced by
defeating Dod Kaskadden 247-214 and Eric Seebacher 242-184. Jeff qualified
second and he advanced by defeating Evan Ngo 226-204 and Diana Murphey
226-220. Jeff Rakowski had an 11-pin handicap advantage to start the
championship match but left a split in frame three then a washout in frame
four allowing John Kolodziej to overcome that edge by the fourth frame.
John then strung a four-bagger in frames four through seven to take
control of the match as he went on to win by the final score of 228-203.
