*** Morrissey Captures Fourth Title ***
|
Steve Morrissey won his fourth ABT title by
defeating Jeff Colaianni 202-167 at Espo's Entertainment Center.
Jake Woltman opened the stepladder finals by
defeating Matt Sanchez 270-182. Jake then ousted Matt Barker 250-200
before falling to Jeff Colaianni 266-215. In the championship match Jeff
Colaianni left rails in the second and third frames and top seed Steve
Morrissey took advantage to build a 31-pin lead after four frames. Jeff
had a couple of chances to get back into the match but left splits again
in the seventh and ninth frames and Steve doubled in the ninth and tenth
frames to lock up the match by the final score of 202-167.
