***  Clark wins at River Grove ***

Mark Clark won his eighth ABT Masters title by defeating TIm Culp 223-157 at Brunswick Zone River Grove.

Jeremy Kean opened the stepladder finals by defeating Rick Hara 220-181. Donald Evans then defeated Kean 179-158 before falling to Tim Culp 157-154. In the title match Tim Culp continued to struggle on the championship pair while Mark Clark put together a couple of turkeys as he cruised to victory by the final score of 223-157.

Champion's Profile: Mark Clark is 30 years old and employed as a Global Risk Manager for Merrill Lynch. He is married to Kristie and has been bowling for 22 years. Mark’s high game is 300 and he has an 855 high series to his credit. He was using a Brunswick Ultimate Inferno drilled by Jason Wojnar at Little Bear Pro Shop. Mark credits Danny Hayes, Tom Carter, and Jason Wojnar as having helped him to improve his game. He thanked the ABT for running a tournament every weekend giving bowlers the opportunity to compete. He also thanked his wife Kristie for her support, Rick Hara for inspiration, and the Brunswick Zone staff for hosting the tournament. Mark said his winnings would go towards a house fund. Knowing that this would be his last ABT event Mark closed his interview by saying, “It’s been great.”

Tournament Notes: Congratulations to Mark Clark on his graduation from the ABT. He has been a solid performer in the ABT and I’m sure we will be hearing more about Mark in his future bowling endeavors. Good luck Mark!
