Andy Glass went from fifth to first at
Sunset Bowl to claim his first ABT title. Andy started his climb by
defeating Patrick Hanley 223-218. In match two he squeaked by Mike
Martenson Sr. 240-237. In match three Andy defeated Cory McCain 221-202 to
earn his shot at top seed Curt Aemisegger. Curt had trouble getting lined
up in the title match and after 6 frames Andy had a 29-pin lead. Curt
switched balls in frame 7 and strung a turkey in frames 7-9 to cut the
lead to 19 pins going into the final frame. Andy finished up first with a
spare / strike in the 10th giving Curt a chance to win with a double but
his first shot missed and Andy completed his climb by the final score of
236-217.
