Bobby Bass won his 7th ABT title by defeating Jim Kedroski 293-215 in a one game roll-off after they tied at 261. Bobby qualified 8th for the top 12 finals then advanced by defeating Donald Dahm 251-220, Glen Hudson Jr. 237-221, and John Lee 244-206. Jim was the top qualifier earning byes in the first 2 rounds of match play. In round 3 he defeated Dennis Kenny 226-195 to earn his berth in the championship match. Bobby built a 30-pin lead after 4 frames of the title match but Jim strung the last 7 forcing Bobby to strike out in the 10th for the 261 tie. In the roll-off Bobby struck from the 2nd to the 10th frames to pull away to the final 293-215 victory. Champion’s Profile: Bobby Bass is 52 years old and employed as a vice president for Career Education Corp. He is married to Jeri and has 4 children and 1 grandchild, Briana, Tom, Joey, Aaron, and Savana. Bobby has been bowling for 40+ years and currently bowls tournaments only. His high game is 300 and he has an 816 high series to his credit. Bobby was using a Brunswick Intense Inferno drilled by Joe Bacagaluppi at Back to Basics Pro Shop. He credits Mike Martenson Sr. and Joe Bacagaluppi as having helped his game with good ball choice suggestions. Bobby thanked his wife Jeri for putting up with what he does, Glen Hudson Jr. and Steve Rothweiler for their overwhelming support, and the ABT staff and BAMM for having the event. His winnings will be used for son Aaron’s college expenses. Ron Sereyka won $200 by posting the high series on the first weekend of qualifying and our raffle winners were Erica Merritt and Robert Finder.
