Dwight Bergner won his third ABT title by defeating Robert Finder 260-193 at Antioch Bowl. In match one of the stepladder finals Dwight Bergner defeated Dan Bailey 234-211. In match two Dwight defeated Tony Kaskadden 262-215. In match three Dwight eliminated Nick Newman 278-185 to advance to the title match against top seed Robert Finder. Robert started the championship match with a turkey to take a 5-pin lead but then left rails in the 4th and 5th frames. Dwight jumped on his opportunity with a 4-bagger in frames 3-6 and he cruised from there to the final 260-193 victory. Champion’s Profile: Dwight Bergner is 49 years old and employed as a route salesman. He is married to Ann and has 2 children, Chelsea and Ashley. Dwight has been bowling for 25 years and has a high game of 300 to go along with an 815 high series. He was using a Morich Weapon drilled by John Magna. Dwight credits Jason Kaiser and Jace Peterson as having helped him to improve his game. He thanked the ABT staff and Antioch Bowl for having the tournament and all the members who support the ABT. Dwight said his winnings would be used for home remodeling and that the ABT is the best bowling club in the area. CONGRATULATIONS Dwight!Tournament Notes: Congratulations to Steve Morrissey and Nick Newman who each won $500 by breaking 295 pots. Nice Bowling! This week’s raffle winner was Neil Hulvey. We were saddened this week to hear of the passing of Glen Hudson Sr. He was a great guy and will be missed by many. Our condolences go out to all of his friends and family.
