Mark Kisala won his second ABT title by defeating Michael Leahy 246-192 at Wheaton Bowl. In match one of the stepladder finals Pete Tagalos defeated John Heppner 201-192. In match two Michael Leahy defeated Pete Tagalos 212-198. In match three Michael Leahy defeated Marti Stolarski 247-217 to advance to the title match against top seed Mark Kisala. Mark doubled to start the championship match then doubled again in the 6th and 7th frames to build a 36-pin lead. When Michael left a washout in frame 8 his fate was pretty much decided but Mark made sure with another double in the 10th frame winning by the final score of 246-192. Champion’s Profile: Mark Kisala is 47 years old and employed as a bank manager for Mellon Bank. He is married to Pamela and has been bowling for 30 years. Mark currently bowls leagues at Palos Lanes and Bleekers Bowl. He has a high game of 276 and a 688 high series to his credit. Mark was using a Visionary Green Gargoyle drilled by Joe Bacagaluppi at Back to Basics pro shop. He credits Rob Taylor and Steve Morrissey as having helped him with his game. Mark thanked his wife Pamela, Steve and Rose Morrissey, and Rob Taylor for all their support. He also thanked Wheaton Bowl for having the tournament and the ABT Staff for running a great tournament. Mark said his winnings would be used for the ABT Nationals and something special for his 25th wedding anniversary. CONGRATULATIONS Mark!
