David Siokos won his first ABT title with a 201-191 victory over Tom Fitzpatrick at Suburbanite Bowl. In match one of the stepladder finals Rick Hansen defeated Sam Gonzalez Jr. 254-244. In match two Jack Keith defeated Rick Hansen 217-206. In match three Tom Fitzpatrick defeated Jack Keith 225-162 to advance to the title match against top seed David Siokos. Tom held a slight lead through most of the title match but left a 7-10 split in the 8th frame while David struck to close to within one pin of the lead. Tom opened again in the 10th giving David all the room he would need as he struck and filled 8 to come away with the 201-191 victory. Champion’s Profile: David Siokos is 45 years old and employed as a spring maker. He has been bowling for 8 years and currently bowls league at Stardust III in Dyer. He has a high game of 269 and a 738 high series to his credit. David was using a Brunswick Absolute Inferno drilled at Galka’s Pro Shop. He credits Diandra Asbaty as having helped him to improve his game. David thanked Diandra for her help along with the ABT staff and Suburbanite Bowl for having the tournament. David said his winnings would be used for more equipment and more tournaments. congratulations David!
