Tim Culp won his fourth ABT title by defeating Roger Partynski 220-216 at Stardust Bowl. Mark Lopez opened the stepladder finals by defeating Darrell Lewis 222-184. Boots Kass then defeated Mark Lopez 219-165 before falling to Tim Culp 208-204. In the title match top seed Roger Partynski had a 38-pin lead after 6 frames but Tim Culp closed with a 6-bagger to come from behind and win by the final score of 220-216. Champion’s Profile: Tim Culp is 45 years old and currently unemployed. He is married to Linda and they have two children, Amanda and Tim, ages 24 and 20. Tim has been bowling for 16 years and currently bowls leagues at AMF Bolingbrook and Brunswick Zone Woodridge. His high game is 300 and he has an 802 high series to his credit. Tim was using a Columbia Big Bully drilled by Brian Spiller at Stars and Strikes Pro Shop inside AMF Bolingbrook Lanes. Tim thanked his family for their support, Roger Partynski for a great match, the ABT and Stardust Bowl for having the tournament.
